Best of Luck in all u're travels my fellow Wow'ers So, if what Im saying makes any sense, whe're talking about a healer that is right there with the tank in battle instant casting all heals including large heals such as "Chain Heal" and "Healing Wave", doing a fair little bit damage themselves but not enough to grab up the threat special thanks to "Spirit Weapons" and in the rare case that this healer does grab aggro, even if it be every few minutes, he just has to call out his "Spirit Wolves" (only 3 min cooldown) and not only will they grab the aggro off with there spirit howl and give the tank time to get it back but their attacks will heal the shaman from any swipes that the enemy did get off on him.Īnd last but not least, where talking about not only a "healer" that would do just fine "soloing" once in awhile but the only healer in the game that would be able to duel wield giving the option of double weapon enchants and also benefiting from double "Earthliving Weapon" which yes, does stack giving a total of +300 to heals and a 20% chance "twice" of healing an additional 652 over 12 sec for every healing spell cast (and yes it can double proc on the same person much the same as if 2 hunters sting u with the same sting). "Improved Shields" (now know as "Elemental Sheilds") Having 5/5 "Thundering Strikes" now adds 5% crit chance to spells (this includes heals) and having 3/3 "Improved Shields" will add 15% effectiveness to my mana orbs not to mention that with "Shamanistic Rage" and in the case of slight emergence combined with either "Blood Lust" (Horde) or "Heroism" (Alliance) u're then looking at the equivalent of a damaging "Innervate" with a 2 min cooldown rather then 6 min all links will be updated soon as wowhead is updated (note that "Ancestral Knowledge" hasn't been changed to a 3/3 and gives 6% intell in game) Like I said I may be wrong, but I'm imagining completely gearing up for resto, stacking that intell much as I can but then throwing a twist on things and specing enhancement.īecause not only do I get my intell increased by 10% from 5/5 "Ancestral Knowledge" but the more intell I have stacked from my gear the higher my ATP will be raised from 3/3 "Mental Dexterity" which then combined with 3/3 "Mental Quickness" will result in a beautifully raised spell power and blessing me with a final result of very nice heals (by the way this spell is said to be based off of crits and wether it is or not my healer will be using as fast of weapons as I can find because "Earthliving Weapon" (linked at the bottom) is not based on speed at all and higher speed produces more crits per minute, but as of what shows in the game, this link below is correct and its based of of melee strikes) this spell could from the right angle be seen just as comparable and useful as the druids much sought after "Nature's Swiftness" but without the 3 minute cooldown, actually a 30 sec. With the merging of some of the ratings, I say "BRING IT ON".Ĭomment by 228838First off I think some are really missing the boat on a huge part of this spell, correct me if I'm wrong but lets take focus off of damage and dps for a sec and realize what blizz is doing for healing capabilities with this adding healing spells as well. The moral from all of this? Enhancement shamans get one more spell in their damage rotations, and the bond between spell and melee damage grows even stronger. The point - you'll get increased damage from Stormstrike's charges. Treat it as a one GCD delay giving other abilities time to return. This serves as the central mix-up in the rotation that allows you to fill gaps that can be caused by incorrect cooldown cycling or bad Stormbringer that creates a clash. Of course, you could decide not to burn your enemies, but instead shock them. Correctly Managing Maelstrom Weapon The above is also intertwined with your Maelstrom Weapon management. Considering the 8 second cooldown of Lava Burst, with enough crit you will be able to fire it almost instantly every time it's up. At 4 stacks the cast is neglegible, and at 5 - instant. At two stacks of Maelstrom Weapon the spell will already fire faster than the global cooldown refreshes, making you lose only the possible melee attacks done in the meantime. Let's take Lava Burst into account, which seems the most cost - damage efficient at the momemnt. Providing WotLK introduces nice items with both melee stats and intellect, you'll have a big enough mana pool and means of regenerating it. Maelstrom Weapon - up to 10 stacks v1.0. Btw, this spell has nothing to do with Mael storm, which is a pun of the word maelstrom (and sure enough, the Maelstorm is a huge whirlpool).Īs for the actual usefulness of this, I think it's quite a lot.
