If you like lightweight and light coverage concealers you will love these. I absolutely love the trio and I use them every single time I do my makeup. I’m not usually a stick makeup type of girl but the Fenty Beauty Match Stix Skintick has a permanent spot in my makeup routine. Should you buy the Fenty Beauty Match Stix Skinstick? Since the skinsticks have a cream to powder finish, I can get away with applying them on top of powder without ruining my makeup. I tend to get a more subtle and precise application that way. My favorite way to apply them is putting the product on a damp blending sponge and then apply it to the skin. If you apply them directly to the skin and then blend it out, they will literally get everywhere. I must say though, these are a little tricky to apply. So far, I’ve only used the shimmer skinsticks as a subtle everyday highlight and I love them for that. Also, the cream to powder formula means that you don’t have to set it with a powder contour. But Espresso is just what I’ve been looking for! It has a warm undertone that’s not too red or orange, and it’s super easy to blend out. Majority of the ones I’ve tried all ended up looking muddy on my skin. I had given up on cream contour because I couldn’t one that works with my skin tone. I love using the concealer on days when I don’t want to do too much. So if you like a full coverage concealer, you won’t like these because they’re not buildable. I also love that I can use the skinsticks with any foundation, not just the one from Fenty Beauty.Īs for coverage, the matte skinsticks offers light coverage. I’ve used the Fenty Beauty portable concealer brush, a beauty blender, and other concealer brushes and they all work well with the matte skinsticks. I use the Suede matte Skinstick to highlight under my eyes and I’ve never had a problem blending it out. The dry texture doesn’t bother me since I have combination/oily skin but if you have dry skin you might not like these.ĭespite the dry texture, they surprisingly blend effortlessly into the skin. They feel dry on the skin and can tug on the skin when applying them directly from the tube. FormulaĪs far as the formula goes, both the matte and shimmer skinsticks have a dry consistency upon application. So, if you’re around my skin tone this trio will work well for. Here’s what they look like:įrom L – R (Suede, Espresso, Sinamon & Trippin)įor reference, I wear the shade 450 in the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Longwear Soft Matte Foundation and the Deep Skinstick trio is perfect for my skin tone.
